How soon can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation free of charge by 6:00 PM on the day before the rental. If the cancellation occurs after this time, you will receive a voucher for the amount paid, redeemable by the end of the season. If you cancel after 11:00 AM on the day of the rental or if you do not show up, the full rental price will be charged.

How far can I go with one battery?

The range of an e-bike's battery depends on various factors. Ours use lithium-ion batteries, which have a longer lifespan than lead-acid batteries. However, the range still depends on factors such as terrain, rider weight, and the level of assistance you set.

Is it dangerous to ride an e-bike? I'm afraid of the speed.

There is no danger: these are mountain bikes with pedal assistance thanks to an electric motor. You choose the speed: whatever your legs allow! If you stop pedaling, you'll stop moving.

What happens if I run out of battery?

Our e-bikes are equipped with Panasonic GX Ultimate and Bosch Gen4 motors and batteries starting from 625 Wh, which allow you to pedal for many kilometers. However, these motors still allow you to pedal freely even without the assistance of the battery. It may be a bit more tiring, but you'll manage! We will also inform you about any available charging points along the route.

What dogs can I transport?

For years, we offered this service for our four-legged friends, but unfortunately, there were multiple issues with this type of experience. Not every adventure's protagonist turned out to be happy, and the accessories did not meet, in our opinion, the necessary safety standards we want to ensure. For this reason, we have decided to suspend the service while we search for a safe product. We apologize to all those who want to experience this adventure with their dog, but the choice also involves responsibility towards them.

I don't know the routes, what can I do?

Our staff will provide you with everything you need for your excursion. At the end of the check-in phase, you will receive a small free guide to make the most of your day, including maps of the area. If you want to fully experience the adventure, we recommend requesting the assistance of a professional guide (contact us for more details).

Is wearing a helmet mandatory?

Italian law and the highway code do not require wearing a helmet while cycling, let alone on an e-bike. However, e-Stelvio's choice is to protect its customers, and our rental regulations include a commitment to wearing helmets. If you have your own, you can use it; otherwise, you can rent one at a modest price. Helmets are individually sanitized after each use. There is no good reason not to wear a helmet; ensuring your safety while having fun is our priority.

What happens if I return the bike damaged?

When you pick up the bike, our staff will advise you that all damages to the vehicle are at your expense, as is the case when renting a car from any car rental during your vacation. Similarly, you can choose to purchase damage coverage that protects you from the most common breakages often due to simple falls or accidental damage. This coverage is optional and the price list of spare parts is publicly displayed in the rental premises. Theft, frame breakage, and damage caused by use in situations prohibited by the rental regulations are not covered under any circumstances.

Can I insure the bike in case of theft?

Unfortunately, we cannot insure the bike in case of theft after delivery/rental. Unfortunately, we have not been able to find an insurance company willing to provide us with this service. Therefore, we ask you to be extremely careful when parking the bike, always keeping it in sight. We can provide you with a lock and chain to secure it if necessary. In case of theft, please inform us immediately, indicating the location where the bike was stolen so that we can coordinate with the authorities.

Can children use an e-bike?

The use of e-bikes is allowed for all children over 8 years of age and with a minimum height of 135 cm. Our staff will also verify that the child can safely ride the bike. We know that in many cases, younger children in age or height are able to ride bicycles better than adults, but unfortunately, the approval of e-bikes with 24" wheels states these characteristics, and we would be directly responsible for the delivery even in case of malice on your part. We regret not being able to let your children ride in many cases, and together we will try to find a solution as much as possible.

What happens in case of bad weather?

We do not force anyone to go out in bad weather, as it can be dangerous in many cases. Generally, we rely on the weather forecasts from the night before (the only ones somewhat reliable), and if bad weather prevails on the morning of the rental, we will give you the opportunity to receive a refund of the rental fee or to reschedule your excursion for another day, subject to availability. In this case, those who plan ahead are more likely to be able to reschedule the date. However, we always ask for a cancellation notice from you.

Can you transport bikes to the Cancano Lakes?

Reaching the Cancano Lakes by e-bike requires minimal physical and time commitment. In about an hour, without breaking a sweat, you can reach the Towers of Fraele. On some occasions, we have transported bikes to the Towers of Fraele, but this is an exception rather than the rule. This situation is evaluated on a case-by-case basis based on staff availability and the influx of tourists on the road. This is a paid service.

Can I pick up the bike the night before?

All bikes must be returned by 6:00 PM and undergo a mechanical check before being recharged. For this reason, it is not always possible to deliver the bikes the night before the rental, especially during periods of high demand
